Explosive Power Tool Safety VR
Explosive Power Tool Safety VR is an advanced virtual reality application designed to teach users the proper safety procedures for operating powder actuated nail guns in compliance with Australian regulations. This immersive VR experience guides users through the essential steps of preparing and loading the tool, ensuring they understand and apply the correct safety measures. Users also learn to handle misfire scenarios effectively, enhancing their ability to respond to and manage unexpected issues safely.
In addition to the structured training, Explosive Power Tool Safety VR features a versatile sandbox mode that allows users to experiment with different nail lengths, charge strengths, and power settings. This mode enables users to test and understand how these variables affect performance across various materials, providing practical experience in a controlled environment. By combining detailed procedural training with interactive experimentation, this application ensures users are well-prepared to use powder actuated nail guns safely and effectively in real-world situations.
I was responsible for leading development of the application, including briefing and planning other team members contributions. I was involved from prototyping interactive elements to implementing scene sequence and adding a sandbox mode after initial release.
